Do Not Be Deceived

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we continue in the book of Romans with Chapter 16 and in our text we see Paul greet his friends and give final instructions to greet and support the true missionaries but be aware of the false prophets that are smooth talkers looking to fill their own pockets. In making application today we have the same situation. We have true missionaries doing the work of our Lord and other false prophets who look to take advantage of others for personal gain. The key is knowing the scriptures so we will not be deceived. How about you? Do you read you Bible as to not be deceived? Let us learn from our text today and the wisdom and instruction of Paul to focused on supporting and promoting the true Gospel that we find here in the Bible and not to be deceived by those who would line their pockets by their smooth speech and false doctrine.
