The End of Repentance

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we Continue in the book of Revelation with Chapter 16 and in today's text we see the wrath of God being poured out on the Earth. The end has come. There are many similarities between the vial judgements and the trumpet judgements but there are 3 main differences (1) The vial judgements are complete where the trumpet judgements are partial (2) The trumpet judgements still give unbelievers the opportunity to repent, but the vial do not, and (3) mankind is indirectly affected by several trumpet judgements but directly attacked in the vial judgements. In making application we see the end of repentance. How sad. Reminds me of when a person on death row has his last appeal revoked and you see his fate is certain. This text reminds us that we can repent now but we are not promised of tomorrow. Don't be foolish, repent, when the Lord convicts you. Tomorrow may be too late.
