A Closer Relationship

Each day we walk through the Bible chapter by chapter making an application of our text to help us grow in the Lord. Many applications can be made from each day's text. Today we start the book of Hebrews with Chapter 2 and in our text we see the author warning about drifting away from the Lord while the second part of the chapter supports the doctrine of the deity of Christ explaining the God-Man Jesus-Christ. In making application we see that if we do not seek a relationship with the Lord after our Salvation we run the risk of drifting from the Lord. Jesus wants to have a relationship with you and if you give Him your time, talk to Him in Prayer, and listen to Him through His Word then you will develop the close intimate relationship that He created you to have with Him. How about you? Do you have a relationship with the Lord? Let us learn from our text today and the reminder of the author of Hebrews to be saved and then to develop a close relationship with the Lord who loves you and gave His life for you so that you may know Him in all His Glory.
